Kindness Post #5

This is the last and final post, so this one has to be good right? I think this was one of my favorite ones. Today I was at home doing the chores, and my homework, then my brother needed help with something in his project. I was willing to help him, and I think he appreciated it a lot.

Kindness Post #3

This is a small act of kindness. There was a girl about the age of 10 who was not that tall, and wanted to reach for a book at one of the tall shelves in the library, and couldn’t reach. I decided to help her, and she smiled at me after I did. It was small, but it made me really happy.

One

The book “One” by Kathryn Otoshi, is about the colour red, and it bullies people like blue, yellow, purple, and orange. But one day, “one” comes along and stands up for the other colours. When red says, “STOP LAUGHING” when all the other colours were having fun, everyone stops except for one. He says he doesn’t want to stop. He grows bigger and bigger and red gets angry but there one stood strong. One becomes friends with red, and they are all friends and turn into numbers! This book is a very good book for people all ages. This teaches everyone that being kind is the best.

I Used To Be a Fish

“I used to be a fish” by Tom Sullivan and illustrated by Tom Sullivan is about human evolution. It is about a boy who is using his imagination to make up a story about how he used to be a fish, then evolved into a reptile, then evolved into an ape, and then he turned into a human. I really like this book because it talks about evolution and how it happened. Except that the boy imagined that he was the one who didn’t like swimming so he grew legs, or he didn’t like his fur. When evolution occurs it is always natural selection, and he is treating it as artificial selection which is when the person gets to pick how the object transforms. Overall I think this is a very funny book and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about evolution.

Kindness Blog #2

This is my second kindness blog. I am kinda running out of time, but trust me, I am a kind person and I do, do kind things for others. When Joanna was in the hall. A certain person was being super rude to her so I decided to stand up for her and tell that certain person to stop. It didn’t work and he didn’t stop, but at least I tried…

Morris Micklewhite and the Tangerine Dress

Morris Micklewhite and the Tangerine Dress by Christine Baldacchino is a strong story about a boy that likes to wear a tangerine dress. This has such a strong message about acceptance, which is alsbeo the theme of this book. There are so many rude, and mean things that his fellow classmates had said, and he let those hurtful words get to him. I feel like everyone should start accepting if your son likes dresses instead of shut him out, or get mad at him. Maybe people should think that’s a good thing, and celebrate it, and making the child feel better about herself. All in all this book was wonderful, and there was a very strong message.

Kindness Blog No. 1

I don’t really know how to start these things, or how long it should be but I’ll try my best. Today one of the kind things I did at school today was when I helped stack the chairs. I know what your thinking. That’s something u should do. But I was stacking other peoples, and helping around the class while other people were just standing around talking. (*Ahem* boys) Anyways, that was my kind act today.
